On October 11th, Gianpaolo Coro (ISTI-CNR) gave a talk at the International Conference on Marine Data and Information Systems (IMDIS) 2016 in Gdansk, Poland. More than 100 participants gained insights on the topic "Bridging environmental data providers and SeaDataNet DIVA service within a collaborative and distributed e-Infrastructure" (full presentation here). Gianpaolo Coro presented a process of BlueBRIDGE (that uses a service in the SeaDataNet e-Infrastructure) that allows generating uniform maps of environmental parameters from in situ observations.

This two-page paper explains what was carried out and the benefits/extensions the solution brings to SeaDataNet. Additionally, Gianpaolo Coro presented a poster entitled "A Web application to publish R scripts as-a-Service on a Cloud computing platform" (find poster here).

Several participants expressed interest on BlueBRIDGE services, mainly from SeaDataNet project members working on data processing. All contributes showcased during the conference have been published on the Bollettino di Geofisica Teorica ed Applicata:
